I watched a Real Tennis match at Grange Road, Cambridge earlier today between Old Rugbeians and a Cambridge team (but I never gathered which team). Most were of a 'certain' age. Not only is the court a strange shape without any symmetry, the scoring system was unfathomable! I'm told the honours were all square after four matches.

Interesting, and very nostalgic for me - memories of lunchtime squash games at Grange Road in the 1980s. The lighting in the courts has created a lovely, painterly colour range.
I'm wondering how much the fact that I was photographing through black netting is adding a texture to the images! The ball is the size of a cricket ball and as equally hard so when watching a game on this court, one is sitting in front of a small gallery and could be "taken out", even sitting forwards!
