We had a very interesting day at Newmarket Races yesterday - the Rowley Mile Course.
This first set of images set the scene - others to follow.......

Good to know you had an interesting day. Any success with backing winners? I hope it hasn't awakened an addictive side of your personality!
An interesting set of pictures - I particularly like the hand on the fence, the crouching child, the striped suit and binos and the paper stuffed down the trousers. These details capture beautifully the diversity of the punters that are drawn to horse racing. The newspaper and the striped suit speak volumes about culture and class. Well see.
This blog is to provide me with a photographic record of each year - and I now hope to keep it going after a few false starts! Most days I'm out first thing with our remaining dog, so posting something quite frequently.
