This is a bit of tree surgery I have been waiting on for quite a while, and when it came to it, I hadn't anticipated just how much additional light would shine into the kitchen. It's wonderful! Because Eucalyptus will regrow from the trunk, this time it will be kept under control and not be allowed to threaten the house any more.

Gosh, very dramatic - seems a shame, it was a fine tree but probably for the best. Is the wood good for burning on domestic stoves? I imagine the house suffused with eucalyptus. I look forward to seeing how it regrows.
