Golden Plovers - Titchwell, North Norfolk - 19 October

It was a wonderful sight to see so many Golden Plover at Titchwell RSPB Reserve.   The sun was shining which made their golden colour pronounced, and the water flat enough to provide some beautiful reflections.   The flock was resting in water rather than on fields as guide books suggest.   This is a favourite wader.

I was amused to see the number of Golden Plover recorded as 361.   Either this was an exact number (and I admire the patience of that person) or someone estimated about 360 and then spotted a single plover on its own!
