Ely Peregrines - Juveniles practising flying skills

What a display of competence within one week of leaving the nest and flying!    Peregrines use their flight speed to catch prey and need to be extremely agile to change direction quickly.    Sometimes they are calling and often keeping a keen eye on their sibling.

Such an achievement!

Amazing birds and you've caught them so well - its almost as if they were performing for you. There appear to be breeding birds at Ely, Cambridge town centre and the Lime Kiln Chalk pits this year - that's extraordinary.

The visit has been like watching a performance at a manageable space and distance! Huge fun.
