Swallows at Bottisham Lock

As I took a camera with me on this morning's dog walk, after a few days in Dorset, it's as easy to post these now and catch up not only with months of photographs but Dorset too.

I have been hoping to get a really decent photograph of a Swallow snatching a drink for a long while, and still keep trying!

I like the swallows - I think the first one works particularly well. It will be well worth pressing on with it, though I wonder how much time you have left. A couple of times recently - Beechwoods and Swavesey - I've seen swallows hawking for insects in groups, as if they are gathering ready to fly south.

I fear you are right and that this will have to be another project for next year!
